Corrected size roundels for 32nd scale Lancaster
The set includes two sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
Avro Lancaster B Mk.I Numbers and Insignia
paint mask set is designed to be used instead of the decals included in the Border Model BF-010 kit. Since decals have carrier film and cannot be weathered with enough realism, this set provides an alternative approach to solving that problem. Application of paint instead of decals present you with the option to chip the paint and alter the colors of the insignia and numbers, as well as to avoid the silvering effect sometimes present on the decal. Due to the enormous size of the Avro Lancaster in 32nd scale, this is the best method for markings application. The set also features correct roundels size appropriate for the Lancaster.
Masks instead of Decals
Not all of the decals can be substituted with masks and this is due to numerous reasons. Nose art is among these, as well as many small technical stencils. However, major and important elements of the Insignia, lettering and numbering of the aircraft can be applied using this method. This set covers the two options included in Border Model #BF010 kit and can be used with any other Lancaster in the same scale & same version. Careful research and planning is required before applying your insignia. DN Models’ mask set covers the decal sheet of Border Model, but does not guarantee any historical accuracy of the planes presented in the kit.
