Re-usable die-cut mask set
The set includes two sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
Go For it! 301SQ
is a demo scheme commemorating F-4 Phantom II retirement in the J.A.S.D.F. Alongside with few others, this yellow painted F-4EJ Kai was flown extensively during the final months of Phantom service in Japan. It is famous also as the “Yellow Frog”. The DN Models paint mask set is designed to suit Hasegawa and Zoukei-Mura F-4EJ kits, however, any accurate representation of the Kai Phantom in 48th scale could be used. The mask set is very complex and requires fine alignment and testing and in some cases additional masking and cutting the masks themselves. An example for additional work required is the tongue in the mouth on the nose of the airplane. It should be hand painted. The set as a whole is recommended for experienced modelers who prefer to substitute decals with masks for better realism.
F-4EJ
Kai jets feature several different demo schemes, some of which are available as masks sets from DN Models‘ range. Most of the masks are dedicated to the Phantoms that were introduced in the very final months of F-4EJ Kai service. 302nd Squadron Retirement scheme is available only in its Black variation, since in 48th scale presents a challenge if white is used. Both are available in 32nd though. 3WG 50th Anniversary is the least challenging of the mask range, while Phantom Forever 2020 is the most difficult one to replicate. The latter one is suited for Zoukei-Mura Phantoms and fitting to other kits available might show some discrepancies.
