Re-usable die-cut paint masks
The set includes two sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
Mitsubishi F-4
is a license built version of the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom. In late 1960s, Japan selected F-4E as its future air defense platform, destined to replace Lockheed F-104 Starfighter. Its designation was F-4EJ. In the early 1970s, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries started deliveries of locally built F-4s to JASDF, with total of 138 built locally + two prototypes made in the US. The very last Phantom jet ever built was made by Mitsubishi in 1981. The planes were finally retired in the early 20s of the 21st century, after very successful career with Japanese Defense Forces. Small number of RF-4Cs were equipped with Japanese RWR systems and delivered from US in 1974-75 as RF-4Es. Those were retired in 2020, after 45 years of service.
F-4EJ & RF-4E
in JASDF camouflage varies from earth tones, through light gray, up to two-tone blue scheme. Latter was made specifically for the ocean environment around the country of Japan. Both Mitsubishi F-4EJ and MDD RF-4E wore sea camouflage, with some of them featuring additional paint markings for anniversary schemes. Sea camouflaged JASDF F-4s feature numerous technical stencils as well as specific and interesting weathering, resulted from the sea climate in which they were used. This mask set features the camouflage spots as well as JASDF roundels of the insignia. The set is suitable for most quarter scale F-4E, EJ, RF-4C & RF-4Es on the market.
