Re-usable die-cut camo mask set
The set includes one sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.
F-5 Freedom Fighter
is a light supersonic jet designed in the late 50s in the US. The plane is in use with various Air Forces around the World. Among the countries that still operates the Freedom Fighter is Iran. More than 180 have been delivered In different variants and the jet is in service since early 1970s to this day. Locally, it has gone through some modifications. That includes Iranian-made variants of it, which are named differently for propaganda purposes, advertised as 100% indigenously made. Those are Saeqeh, Kowsar and Azarakhsh. Some of them are deep mods including different vertical fin arrangements. Majority of the fleet however, remains in the form of standard F-5s, with only a handful of domestically made versions.
F-5 IRIAF
is camouflaged in desert colors, which are applied in relatively standard pattern. The plane looks identical to other countries’ F-5s, for example Morocco Air Force F-5s. Throughout the years, due to harsh climate in Iran, jets were repainted and some of the camouflage patterns appear different. In some cases there are only minor variations, but that is mostly dependent on the specific airframe. This camouflage set is suitable for both single- and dual-seat variants of the F-5. Different nose section of the jet is the major difference, hence additional masking might be needed in that area. Theoretically, the mask set can be used for Iranian versions of the plane, however Saeqeh features twin vertical fin arrangements, therefore additional masks will be required for that section. Those are not included in this set.
