The set includes three sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.
Dassault Mirage
2000 is a 4th generation supersonic jet fighter. It was produced in France since the early 1980s and more than 600 have been made. Production continued for 27 years, concluding in 2007. There were several variants introduced throughout the years. Externally, two are most easily recognizable – single- and dual-seat versions. Initially, the twin-seater /Mirage 2000B/ was made for training and ease of transition for the pilots to the complex, 4th gen HOTAS jet. The very first B-variant was completed and tested in October 1980. Later on, it was developed into a nuclear strike fighter /Mirage 2000N/, which can carry Air-Sol Moyenne Portée missile. Mirage 2000D – an attack version – was based on 2000N and introduced as well. The strike jet was with strengthened wings and additional electronics. Except for the N-variant, which was retired in 2018, others are still in service in multiple Air Forces.
Mirage 2000D/N
camouflage can be found in two main variations. One resembles the standard single-seat Mirage 2000C camo scheme. The other features different pattern, plus camouflage on the belly of the aircraft. The latter is the one that this sets represents. The tones are darker which is dictated by the low-level mission profiles. That differs significantly compared to the paler appearance of the single-seat camouflage version mentioned above. Darker camo is typical for dual seat variant and can be seen with more prominent wear due to the different flight operations utilized by the jet. There are examples that are missing the bottom pattern and are with light gray belly instead, while the darker spots of the upper fuselage and wings remain the same.
