Re-usable die-cut paint masks
The set includes one sheet of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
F-22 Raptor
is the very first fifth generation fighter jet. It is made in USA by Lockheed-Martin. The plane is single-seat, twin-engine, thrust-vectoring stealth fighter, made to supersede F-15 in the USAF as the main Air-to-Air combat platform. The production however was short lived and instead of several hundred Raptors, only less than 200 were ever made. The production lines were dismantled and even though technically the production can be restarted at any point in time, it is highly unlikely that this will ever happen. The costs of producing F-22A Raptor were very high from the get go and any potential restart will make them even higher. In its place, F-35 will be produced in large numbers, probably superseded by a 6th generation jet fighter.
F-22 Raptor Camouflage
is a low-visibility paint scheme. Similar paint scheme was applied on F-15 Eagles and proved to be very effective. Unlike the F-35 which is single-tone camo, with F-22 visible camouflage was considered important. Nevertheless, the jet is disguised mainly by its electronics, shapes and materials, rather than its paint. Additional camouflage is presented in the form of rectangular thrust-vectoring nozzles, which proved to be very effective. This mask set is designed for 72nd scale representations of F-22A Raptor, and should fit any accurate kit on the market. DN Models’ camo is designed using F-22 from Italeri and I Love kit. Depending on the model you are building, camouflage modification might be needed.
