The set includes one sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.
F-35B
The F-35B Lightning II is a 5th Generation Fighter Jet with STOVL capabilities, which stands for Short Take-Off, Vertical Landing. Manufactured by Lockheed Martin Corporation in the USA, it serves as a successor to the McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier. This aircraft represents a significant generational leap from the 2nd generation Harrier and has no equivalent platform in the world. In comparison to the AV-8B, the F-35B boasts stealth capabilities and advanced integration with modern warfare systems. However, it has a slightly lower weapons payload and lacks the fuel capacity found in the A and C models, a trade-off made to accommodate the fan for hovering modes. The B-variant is utilized by the US Marines, the Italian Navy, the Royal Navy, and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (J.A.S.D.F.), and it is also being considered by Spain, Singapore, and South Korea for future air dominance platform.
DN Models’ set
is designed for Trumpeter 32nd scale kit. It features the insignia visible on the cover of 32/827-084 and is derived from 48th scale Tamiya and Italeri toolings, which are among the most accurate representations of Lockheed Martin F-35B Stealth jet. Due to some issues with Trumpeter kit measurements, depending on your approach towards painting and weathering, some additional masking might be needed. VMFA-242 specific insignia should be applied in the form of aftermarket decals, which are not included in this set.
