Re-usable die-cut mask set – Exterior and Interior included

The set includes three sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

P-38F/G Canopy, Lights and Wheels
is a set designed to cover Tamiya’s #61120 kit in 48th scale. The kit itself features mask set already, however it is not a pre-cut one. Although not very hard to deal with Tamiya’s decision and approach, pre-cut masks by DN Models present easier and alternative approach towards masking the P-38 Lightning. The set by DN Models includes interior and exterior masking, which is an improvement over Tamiya’s OOTB offering. In addition to that, wheels and lights are included, to help ease the paint process and minimize the risk of painting over the clear parts of the model.

Tamiya’s P-38 F/G Lightning
is one of the best scale models in quarter scale ever released. Two versions are included, P-38F and P-38G. However, Tamiya will most likely expand this kit into a line of Lightnings featuring additional versions of the famous Lockheed aircraft. The paint options offered with the set are available from DN Models with corresponding mask sets, covering all the insignia that Tamiya offers. Most realistic results in scale modeling are achieved by using masks for scale models instead of decals. That is especially true with Tamiya’s kits. Japanese maker is ill-famous for thick decals and even though improved with their latest releases, masks are still the best substitute for those.
