Re-usable die-cut mask set

Three variants are included in this set

The set includes two sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

B-24J Liberator Numbers and Insignia
paint mask set is designed to be used with quarter scale B-24J Liberator kits. The foundation of this mask set is 32nd scale kit of HobbyBoss’ Liberator. The set includes three options, which are suitable for smaller scale, in this case – 1/48. The basic insignia is featured and as a reference of what’s included in the set, you can use what is shown on the DN Models’ product cover. Small technical details as well as nose art /or similar intricate insignia/ is not included in this set. Latter can be added as aftermarket or custom decals.

Masks instead of Decals
Decals, especially on bigger models such as ones applied on four engine bombers of the Second World War are rather large. Therefore, all the problems accompanying decal application are unwanted. Such issues are silvering, colors being to vivid for the finished kit as well as damages of the decal surfaces upon application. For maximum realism, best approach is to paint the insignia as it was done on the real aircraft. Using paints instead of decals allows for additional weathering techniques as well as adequate presentation of the finished kit, which with decals is sometimes impossible. That goes especially for re-application of insignia, for example over older or damaged paints of the planes, which can be achieved only through painting, but never with decals.
